COTSWOLD WAY
The Cotswold area is famous for its stone villages and churches set against a background of rolling farmland. It is mainly arable country and above 1,000ft above sea level in places, but the going is fairly easy. The Cotswold Way traces a line along the eastern escarpment with panoramic views across the Severn Valley into Wales. From the start in Bath beside the Abbey, Roman Baths Pump Room, to its completion at Chipping Campden one can only enjoy the hilly meadows, woods and superb views.
